The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the following squad and team management that was chosen by the National Selection committee of the BCCSL to represent Sri Lanka in the three Test series in England from April to July 2002.

Team - Sanath Jayasuriya (Skipper), Marvan Atapattu, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena, Russel Arnold, Hashan Tillekeratne, Thilan Samaraweera, Aravinda de Silva, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Charitha B. Fernando, Nuwan Soysa, Ruchira Perera and Prasanna Jayawardena.
