KANDY — Whereabouts of at least 26 motor vehicles of the Ministry of Health of the Central Provincial Council are not known, Chief Minister Central Provincial Council W. P. B. Dissanayake disclosed.

The vehicles have disappeared during the previous administration of the Central Province, Dissanayake said assuming duties of office as the Chief Minister of the Central PC.

The new Health Minister Saliya Dissanayake after swearing in as the minister had no vehicle of the Provincial Ministry to get back to office.

Properties of the Central PC were heavily misused during the previous administration, Dissanayake accused.

He assured that the UNP would manage the affairs of the Central PC without introducing new taxation and would take utmost care to prevent the administration becoming a burden to the people.

The Provincial Council will make every attempt to maintain brotherhood and harmony among different communities, he added.

Provincial Council Ministers Wasantha Aluvihare, Velusamy Radhakrishnan and Saliya Dissanayake were also present.
