Rotary Int’l head to visit

The Rotary International president will be visiting Sri Lanka on May 15 and 16.

Richard D. King is a senior partner in the California law firm King, King & King. Originally from Litchfield, Illinois, he earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California at Berkeley where he is a member of the California Club and other Order of the Golden Bear. He taught law at Brigham; Young University. He is a distinguished military graduate of the University of California and served as a US captain in Military Intelligence.

A trial lawyer, Mr. King belongs to several legal associations including the American Asociation of Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in Utah and California and before the Supreme Court of the US. He served on the board of directors of the Eden Hospital Foundation, the Woodminster Summer Musicals and the Oakland Ballet. He is a trustee of the City of Hope and received the City of Hope "Spirit of Life" Award.

The main objective of Rotary International is service - in the community and throughout the work. As volunteers, members of Rotary plan and complete projects that build goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian service, and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations. There are some 1.2 million Rotary Club members in more than 30,000 clubs in 163 countries.
