Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL ) has decided to field a junior team for the Taiyuan International Junior Table Tennis Championship which will be held from August 25-30 in Taiyuan , China.

"This Championship will be conducted in the age groups of under 18, 15 and 12 and will be held for both boys and girls in individual and team event categories," said Chandana Perera Secretary TTASL .

Perera also told ‘The Island’ they have already picked the pladdlers for the trials to select a team for this Junior Championship . Trials for boys and girls who are under 12 will be held on May 12 from 8 am to 6 pm at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium . Trials for players under 15 will be held on May 13 from 8 am to 6 pm at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

Meanwhile trials for boys and girls under 18 will be held on May 13 at same venue from 8 am to 6pm . The following players are requested to report to Chandana Perera Secretary of TTASL by 7.30 am on each trials days .
