Peradeniya University women’s hockey team emerged winners in the Inter University seven-a-side hockey tournament organised by the University of Moratuwa on Friday.

The Peradeniya University X1 had to fight hartd to beat the Moratuwa University in the final. They managed to score just one goal in this close game. Shamaya Ranasinghe netted the match winning goal.

In the semi final they beat Moratuwa NUIniversity by one goal tonil, scored by Shyama Ranasinghe.

The champions were led by Indika Hemamali and hd players like Chamila Hewage, Isha Mahindadasa, Amila Kapilaratne, Chalalochana Yapa, Udeni Palewaththa, Lakshmi Herqth, Shayama Ranasoinghe and Chamila Hettiarachchi.
