Ceylinco links with S’pore firm on medical education project

Ceylinco Consolidated has tied up with a Singapore healthcare company, Parkway Group Healthcare Pte. Ltd., described as Asia’s largest private healthcare organization.Ceylinco said that the two companies will operate here through a subsidiary of Ceylinco Consolidated with the Ceylinco Parkway Medical Referral Centre aiming to continuously educate local medical professionals on technical advances and new procedures through a series of seminars.

"Parkway Group Healthcare specialists will be visiting Sri Lanka regularly to interact with local doctors and mutually share their experiences and expertise," a Ceylinco news release said. Parkway Group Healthcare is one of Asia’s largest private healthcare organizations with an extensive network of hospitals and integrated healthcare facilities in the region. It owns three acute hospitals in Singapore and also owns and operates eight other hospitals in Asia.

The group’s three acute care hospitals in Singapore - East Shore Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital are the first hospitals in the Asia Pacific region to achieve ISO 9002 international quality certification. The three hospitals collectively boast a bed capacity of 1042.
