Marketing ploy?

On June 15 the Daily News, carried as it does every Saturday, the various new books available at the various bookshops. One of the books titled "Mein Kampf" advertised by one was priced at Sri Lanka Rs. 550/= and it was supposed to be given at a very special price considering the fact that it was priced at Sterling Pounds 18.

When I read this on Saturday morning I was surprised to learn that an English publication and that too a very popular and sought after book, could be sold at that price, so when I went to the bookshop, (as I do every Saturday), and saw the publication it was to my utter dismay and shock, that I found out that it was an Indian publication, priced at some 150-200 rupees which was being sold at 550/= Sri Lanka Rupees, and not an English publication.

I immediately brought it to the notice of the manager of the bookshop, and questioned him.
