Jayasuriya to attend ICC’s Test captains meeting

Sri Lanka’s cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya will attend the ICC’s Test Captains meeting to be held at Lord’s tomorrow (July 15).

The event will enable the captains to exchange their ideas and experiences with ICC officials.

India’s Sunil Gavaskar will chair the proceedings while ICC’s Chief Executive Malcolm Speed, General Manager Cricket, David Richardson and ICC’s Anti Corruption Unit Director Lord Condon will also be present.

The other captains attending the meeting are Stuart Carlisle (Zimbabwe), Stephen Fleming (New Zealand), Saurav Ganguly (India), Nasser Hussain (England), Khaled Mashud (Bangladesh), Shaun Pollock (South Africa) and Waqar Younis (Pakistan).

The West Indies and Australian captains won’t be available. But Darren Lehman who is with Yorkshire County will represent Australia.
