Defending league champions Kandy SC the present table leaders will play host to CR & FC who are in second spot of the inter club "A" division league championship and the winners will end up as table leaders of Round I. The venue is Nittawela.

Kandy SC are placed on top with 9 wins in the same number of outings, while the CR & FC too have won 9 games in 9 outings, but the Kandy SC are leading with a better goal and try average.

In today’s game, Kandy SC go out favourites, but the CR has the fire-power, to upset calculations.

It is hoped that conditions under foot would permit the two teams to play their form of open rugby.

CR & FC who have been the arch rivals of the Nittawela club, in the past decade, will be hoping to give off their best before the numerous who will make their way from Colombo.
