Six schoolboys in national rugby pool

The national rugby selectors have made plans to try out six school boys in three trial games which will be conducted with a view of preparing for the forthcoming 2002 Asian Games.

According to a release issued by the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union the six players who have been picked for the trial games are Steve Perera, Lahiru Botheju (both from Wesley College), Anuranga Walpola (Isipatana M.V.), Shamil Mohamed, Dushanth Lewke (Both from Royal) and Dilanka Wijesekera (St.Peter’s College). The trial games have been scheduled to be held on 20 August at the Ceylonese Rugby and Football Club grounds.
