Commercial Bank opens more supermarket banks

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has opened two more ‘MiniCom’ supermarket banking units at the Cargills Food City outlets at Gampaha and Ratnapura. The ‘MiniComs’ enable shoppers to carry out varied bamking transactions including the opening of savings and other deposit accounts, make cash deposits and withdrawals from personal accounts upto Rs. 50,000, obtain travellers cheques, encash foreign currency and travellers cheques, pay utility bills and make MasterCard settlements, seven days a week.

The Bank now operates seven "MiniCom" units at Cargills Food City outlets at staples Street, Majestic City, Nugegoda, Maharagama, Kurunegala, Gampaha and Ratnapura.
