| FCCISL hails outcome of peace talks The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka hails the outcome of the first round of peace talks between the government and LTTE that concluded in Thailand on Wednesday. FCCISL is happy to note the positive approach taken by both the Government and the LTTE to negotiate to resolve the conflict that continued for nearly two decades. The will and courage of both parties are greatly appreciated. The FCCISL thanks both the government and the LTTE for achieving the highest positive results during the first round of negotiations. This is a turning point in the history of Sri Lanka, where all ethnic and religious groups in the country could live together in harmony to build Sri Lanka to attain its past glory. The FCCISL views this position with utmost delight with the hope of reconstructing the economy of the country for the larger benefit of the people of this country. FCCISL pioneered linkages between the North and the South by establishing a constituent chamber in the North with a view to building business to business relationship to help people to people contact.
