The administrative rates for services rendered by the government departments have been increased by 15 per cent.

Accordingly rents on government quarters and bungalows are to be increased after appraising the value of such government quarters and bungalows by the government valuer according to a circular by the Treasury to all government departments.

In terms of this circular all examination fees levied by the Examinations Department, fees on registration of motor vehicles and other services by the Commissioner of Motor Traffic, fees on registration of persons and all other fees levied by universities will be increased. But these regulations would not apply to issue of passports, the circular further stated.
