Two hundred and eighty one LTTE cadres including 77 women yesterday moved overland from Batticaloa to the Wanni, the military said yesterday.

Troops escorted five buses and a jeep carrying the group from Black Bridge, north of Batticaloa to Omanthai via Habarana and Galkulama. "They crossed the line-of-control at 5.40 pm," the military said.
