The United National Party is in the process of educating its political representatives and the public on the present political situation in the country, with islandwide conferences, workshops and meetings.

This will be held on a district basis and special emphasis will be given to the ongoing peace process, the economic and political situation.

The Puttalam district party meeting and workshop will be held today at 9.30 a.m. at the Puttalam Town Hall under the leadership of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs A. H. M. Azwer. Azwer is also the Chairman of the Puttalam District Development Committee.
