Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) of North Western Province will take a business delegation for the next Canton Trade Fair in China commencing April 15, for the fifth consecutive time,a spokesman for the organisers said.

[Chinese Export commodities Fair, also known as "Canton Trade Fair" is held twice a year in Spring and Autumn since it was inaugurated in the Spring of 1957. It is China’s largest trade fair of the highest level, of the most complete varieties and of the largest attendance and business turnover. The fair covers about 150,000 sq/m with over 7000 trade stalls. Over 125,000 people from 188 countries visited the last fair in October 2002 and the value of confirmed business transactions during the fair was over US$ 16 billions.

ISB with its marketing arm Wayamba Export and Trading House (pvt) Ltd (WETH) has taken business in delegations to the Canton Trade Fair since April 2001.

Already 200 businessmen have visited the Canton trade Fair with the ISB and they have started importing various goods from China, as a result of such visits. All arrangements of the visit to this Canton Trade Fair are being made by ISB with least inconvenience to the participants. They will be assisted in other activities such as business negotiations, L/C opening, import documentation, clearance of goods, etc. for those who wish to start business with Chinese companies.
