Culinary Art 10th anniversary

The 10th anniversary of Culinary Art will be held from July 4 to 6 at the BMICH.

President of the Chefs Guild of Sri Lanka, Gerard Mendis said this year’s event will be the biggest food and hotel trade exhibition in the country.

"A total of 850 chefs from all over Sri Lanka will compete and display their talent and creativity in the fine art of preparing food," Mendis told a news conference at the Colombo Hilton last week.

He said that a panel of foreign and local judges, inclusive of the President of the World Association of Cooks Societies, Siegfried Schaber will judge the competitions.

Vice President of the Chefs Guild of Sri Lanka, Madhawa Weerabaddana said this will be the first time that 8 live cooking categories will be on display.
