The Philatelic Bureau of the Department of Posts will issue a new postage stamp valued at Rs. 4.50 to commemorate the 130th Anniversary of the Great Panadura debate. The first day issue was held on August 24 at 2.00 p.m. at the Panadura Public Park under the patronage of the Minister of Mass Communication, Imthiaz Bakeer Markar.

The stamp was designed by Bandula Harischandra and printed at the Department of Government Printing of Sri Lanka.
