Reduce your electricity bill by 50% Garment industry in Sri Lanka is one of the main economic sectors making an invaluable contribution to the GDP. However, this industry is now facing severe competition due to various reasons such as removal of quota, competition from "low wage" countries, increase of the freight rates change in exchange rates and many more other reasons. Therefore, the garment industry needs to be assisted and guided to improve its productivity in order to be competitive in the market. Identifying the above need, ISB has made arrangements to offer various services to garment industry. It is possible to reduce electricity bills of garments factories to 50% by converting electrically operated boilers (which are used for steam generation for ironing) to oil fired boilers. As the maximum demand of the factory is also reduced by around 50%, production capacity could be doubled without investing on new transformers or augmenting the existing ones. For this purpose, ISB introduces a new boiler made in Japan, which could be used for garment factories to improve the production efficiency. This boiler has special technical advantages over other boilers available in Sri Lanka, such as low maintenance, easy operation, quick steam generation (in 3 seconds), low noise etc. Boilers are available with different capacities (100 - 500kg/hr) and the cost is around Rs.500,000/= (C&F Colombo). Already a few garment factories have imported this boiler and ISB is ready to provide a complete package (Designing, Supplying of equipment, Installation, Commissioning, Servicing, etc.) of services to industrialists. This boiler is also suitable for other industries especially food processing, that require less than 500kg of steam per hour. If you are interested to increase your productivity by reducing your high electricity bill. |
