British consultants to visit Lanka British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BCCB) is to undertake a scoping mission to Sri Lanka from October 13-17. The mission, sponsored by the Trade Partners UK, will focus on a wide spectrum of sectors, i.e. Shipping & Ports Development, Transport, Healthcare, Power & Energy, Telecom & IT, Tourism, Civil Aviation, Environment - Water & Renewable Energy Projects, Fire & Security and Public & Private Sector Capacity Building. The group of visiting consultants oomprises of: `95 Rodney Hacker, Halcrow Group Ltd (general Infrastructure and transport) `95 Andy Hayden, Atkins Global (water and power) `95 Michael Alder, Edmund Nuttall Ltd (construction) `95 Eddie Foster, Scott Wilson (transport and ports) `95 Don Smith, WSP International Management Consulting (engineering and management consultancy) `95 Anthony Arkle, Trade Partners UK (roads, and bridges, fire, security and general Infrastructure) They will be accompanied by Colin Adams, Chief Executive, BCCB and Mike Connor, Head of the South Asia Unit, Trade Partners UK (TPUK) who will cover the other sectors. BCCB will hold a seminar on October 14 at the Colombo Plaza and will seek to develop contacts with local businesses and Government agencies. BCCB is the major private sector association covering all British exporting consultancy sectors working overseas. BCCBs membership of over 300 firms and individuals represents some 60,000 professionals who cover 116, professional disciplines in virtually every country. The group will, where possible assess the scope of opportunities, which match UK industry capabilities. |
