India donates CT scanner, bus to Jaffna

India will donate a CT scanner to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital and a bus to the Jaffna university.

Indian External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha will hand them over during his two day visit to Colombo this week to lead the Indian delegation in the fifth session of the Indo-Lanka Joint Commission, the Indian High Commission spokesperson told the Sunday Island. He is scheduled to arrive in Colombo next Tuesday, she said. The visit was originally to take place in August this year. (SF)
