Ageing is not a problem....

So begins a long-winded lecture on 27-10-03 which has put the wind up of more than a few elders who have no patience with theories. They have posed the following simple questions which should have been first answered by the writer before the rigmarole that followed. Few seem to have heard of this group referred to as NFOA - perhaps another mushroom. What is its address?

a) Where is the Department of Social Services located now?

Are there branches in the districts? If so, where?

b) How does one obtain a Senior Citizen’s Card? How many months or years does it take to get one after application?

C) What benefits accrue to card holders just now?
