Suntel who has a committed goal to expand their
network to rural Sri Lanka in the coming months, created another
milestone in their vast expansion program when they launched in
Ambalantota, in the Hambantota district. This important landmark
comes at a time when a call was made by the Post and
Telecommunication Minister D. M. Jayaratne to connect the
masses. Suntel awaits the approval from TRC on their proposed
expansion plan which will enable them to provide low cost
telecom services to the rural community of Sri Lanka.

developing the areas they expand to, Suntel celebrated the

harvesting tank to the Rangiri Viharaya located in the

several periods of the year. The tank that will be constructed
in the next few months will service around 200 - 300 people on a
daily basis. This donation is a first step taken by Suntel who
intends to take this rain water harvesting initiative to several
other locations within the Hambantota District.
