KANDY - Kandy Chief Magistrate Leon Seneviratne
imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of the two men taken into
custody by Kandy Police with a haul of V.C.D. and C.D. cassettes
of illegally recorded popular films and songs.
S. Hettiarachchi and A. Mohamed were arrested
with 3000 cassettes, police said.
They were taken into custody at a record bar at
Castle Lane, Kandy.
