Paramount Communications Ltd. said on Tuesday that it has recently received an export order worth US$1.5mn from Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd.

As per the contract, the company would supply 960 kms of aerial copper cables to the Sri Lankan telecommunications firm, Paramount said in a statement.

Sri Lanka Telecom provides fixed-line and mobile phone services in Sri Lanka in joint venture with Nippon TT of Japan.

The company is regularly participating in various export tenders for the supply of telecom cables and is hopeful of getting regular export business in future, Paramount said. (India Infoline)
