KANDY `D1 One was killed and three injured when their motor car veered off the Kandy-Hanguranketha highway into the Victoria reservoir edge, at Gurudeniya on Tuesday (21) night.

The deceased has been identified as Sumith Kumara of Asgiriya Kandy.

The injured have been admitted to Kandy General hospital.

One of them has been identified as a Sri Lanka Navy personnel.

L. B. Weerasinghe, R. Meddegoda and Mahinda Kumara are being treated in the Kandy hospital.

Police personnel on night patrol resumed the injured with the help of the residents.

Further investigations are conducted on the instructions of IP Gunaratne Banda, OIC, Talatuoya police.
