The Sri Lanka - Canada Business Council which is
affiliated to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration
with the Canadian High Commission in Sri Lanka will conduct a
seminar on "Doing business with Canada" tomorrow at The Ceylon
Chamber of Commerce Auditorium from 3.00 –5.00 p.m.
Canadian High Commission in Colombo Senior Trade
Commissioner, Jean-Philippe Linteau will speak on ‘Canadian
economic climate’, outlining the policies of the new Canadian
Government. He will also touch on sectors of strength and
opportunities in the Canadian economy. Finally, he will present
some guidelines to Sri Lankan businessmen who plan to do
business with Canada, either pursuing opportunities in Sri Lanka
or exporting to Canada.
CIDA-Industrial Cooperation Program Program
Manager, Sylvain Dulong will speak on ‘working with a Canadian
partner through the CIDA-Industrial Cooperation Program’. The
CIDA-Industrial Cooperation Program is a funding mechanism
designed to support the establishment of joint ventures in Sri
Lanka between Canadian and Sri Lankan partners.
