US, EU demand action on Iran

The United States and the European Union have demanded UN Security Council action over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice had said in Berlin (13th Jan. 06) in a fiery speech that Iran had carried out a deliberate escalation of the dispute over its nuclear programme and that it must be referred to the UN Security Council.

May the US Secretary of State convince other nations (except US, EU and Japan) with a plausible explanation, on the following actions of great powers.

George W. Bush, President of America, proclaimed to the entire world what he would attack Iraq even if all other nations opposed it. Then why should America oppose President of Iran of any action within his country?

America and EU nations are fully armed with atomic weapons. Then why shouldn’t Iran manufacture any weapons she needs for self defence?

UNO opposed the attack on Iraq by George W. Bush. Secretary General, Kofi Annan, of the UNO called the American President’s action on Iraq as illegal.

President George W. Bush ignored the call of the UNO.

Then why should Iran accept the decision of the UNO?

Are America and the European nations above the Law of the UNO?
