CIMA has announced that five leading
personalities from the country’s business and academic circles
will pool their knowledge and expertise at the open forum
discussion to be held at CIMA Business Leaders’ Summit 2006,
which will be held on 1 to 3 June,BMICH,Colombo.
The Open Forum, titled "Burning issues", is the
concluding session at the Summit on 3 June and will drive
discussion and debate on the Summit’s theme, "Unleash your
potential" in relation to four areas of high national importance
such as industry, economics, education and peace.
The four eminent panelists, together with the
Open Forum moderator, will drive the discussion. The moderator,
Ceylon Chamber of Commerce former Chairman, Chandra Jayaratne,
will be joined on the panel by the following experts:
= Jetwing Hotels Ltd. Managing Director, Hiran
Cooray.
= Central Bank of Sri Lanka Director of
Statistics, Dr Anila Dias Bandaranaike.
= Emeritus Professor of Law and University of
Colombo former Vice Chancello, Prof Savitri Goonesekera, and
= Secretariat for Coordinating the Peace
Process Secretary General, Dr Palitha T B Kohona.
The panelists will share their knowledge and
experience and discuss ways in which the full potential of most
valued asset, people, could be harnessed, to enable Sri Lanka to
move forward towards peace and economic development.
