An unidentified gang abducted Nawala Nihal, known as the Godfather of the underworld, along with five members of his gang, when they were returning after attending a Court case in Colombo on Monday (29), police sources said.

Nawala Nihal had a number of pending court cases in which he had been accused of various crimes, including robbery, extortion and murder. Up to yesterday (30) night, there was no information about his whereabouts or those responsible for the abduction, police sources said.
