The Sri Lanka-Canada Scholarship Foundation, established in Canada under the guidance of Venerable Dr. Mirisse Dhammika Thero, has launched Wijayasena Kiriwattuduwa Memorial Scholarships for medical students from this year.

Students who are economically disadvantaged and presently succeeded in entering the faculty of medicine are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Self-prepared applications containing bio-data should be sent to the Sri Lankan Co-ordinator for SLCSF, on or before June 15, 2006 together with the following documents.

1. A certified photocopy of the letter to prove that he/she has been selected to the medical faculty.

2. G.C.E (Advanced Level) results certified by the Principal.

3. A letter from Grama Niladhari certifying the Number of Family Members and the monthly income of the Family...(including ‘Samurdhi’... etc: if any)

4. A testimonial from the chief of the religious institute of the village
