An Army lieutenant has gone missing since Wednesday in Omanthai, Vavuniya Police has been informed.

According to the complaint, Lt.L. G. Rajapakse accompanied by two corporals had gone towards the forward defence lines in Omanthai and subsequently had gone missing, according to the soldiers who accompanied him.

Police are investigating to ascertain whether he had been abducted or lost his way.
