Excise Special Bureau in Kandy Tuesday raided six moonshine distilleries close to the Kandalama tank in Wahakotte, Gelewala.

Among the items seized were 1400 litres of Goda, 63,700 ml spirits and distilling equipment.

The suspects were produced before the Dambulla Magistrate on Thursday and fined Rs. 1,95,000.
