New Record Price for Western High Grown OP1

An Invoice of Orange Pekoe No. 1
(OP1) grade offered at the Colombo Tea Auction held on 6th
September 2006, for sale under the INVERNESS mark realised an
all time record price of Rs. 400 per Kilo. The previous record
was Rs. 365. Inverness teas are manufactured at Nuwara Eliya
Estate owned by Kelani Valley Plantations Limited.This tea was
purchased by Akbar Brothers (Pvt) Limited, the leading exporter
of Ceylon teas and was successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka
Commodities (Pvt) Limited. |
