SLT settles first life insurance claim |
|
Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel, the
National GSM network, recently announced the settlement of the
very first life insurance claim under its Mobilife Insurance
Policy. This policy, which is open to all Mobitel Post-paid
subscribers, was established in 2005 in conjunction with
Ceylinco Life to offer cover against natural death, accidental
death and critical illness. The Mobilife claim was settled in
favour of Ms. D. B. Perera, wife of the late Mr. U. O. Perera,
who recently received a cheque in the sum of Rs. 500,000.00
handed over to her by Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel’s Product
Manager (Post-paid) M. M. Murad.
Mobilife is a unique scheme introduced by Sri Lanka Telecom
Mobitel which offers a natural death cover of Rs.500,000/-, an
accidental death cover of Rs.750,000/- and a critical illness
cover of Rs.500,000/- at a nominal monthly fee of just Rs. 125/-
settled along with their monthly mobile bill. |
