Tiger Airways, a Singapore-based budget carrier
part-owned by Singapore Airlines Ltd., is planning to launch
flights to Sri Lanka and five destinations in southern India,
the Business Times reported.
Quoting Tiger Airway's Chief Executive Tony
Davis, the paper said the budget carrier already has rights to
operate flights between Singapore and Kolkata, but has yet to
start the service. The carrier has also clinched Singapore air
traffic rights to operate flights to Trivandrum, Goa, Kochi and
Kozhikode in southern India, and Colombo in Sri Lanka, the
report added.
