A delegation headed by Textile Development Minister Jayathissa Ranaweera will participate a special forum arranged on textile industry development, to be held in Beijing, scheduled till November 7, 2006.

This forum, Organized by the Republic of China will be used as a platform to discuss common problems in the textile industry.

The methods used by the developed countries in their textile industries and how to increase the positive attitudes towards the industry will be discussed.

Apart from this the forum is also expected to create an atmosphere to share the textile industry experiences among countries in strengthening the partnership. Representatives from 30 textile manufacturing countries are expected in this forum and it will be a great opportunity to adopt new initiatives in textile manufacturing and marketing.
