Dankotuwa manufactures European style vases

Dankotuwa Porcelain will introduce European style vases in the local market this week. These vases in three unique shapes have been designed by the famous German designer Professor Wolf Karnagel who has designed several new tableware shapes for Dankotuwa.

Dankotuwa has already shipped these vases to Italy and they are currently available in several of the top department stores there. Dankotuwa decided to launch a limited quantity of these items in the local market to make it available during the festive season. "These are very unusual shapes and are suitable for modern homes, modern offices, and lifestyle restaurants which can use them to enhance their interior," said Chairman Dankotuwa Porcelain Sunil Wijesinha. He said that they do not expect to sell a large volume. "We expect only a limited number of customers to appreciate these designs and the only reason for introducing it to the local market is to make them available at a reasonable price for the discerning few," added Wijesinha.

Dankotuwa is very pleased that its designer shapes commencing with square shapes such as "Simply square " , "Square O" and "AURORA" and other shapes such as "PROFILE", "CONTOUR" and "PLUS" created a paradigm shift in tableware in Colombo’s new restaurants, and hopes that its designer vases too will find their way into the more sophisticated offices, homes and restaurants.All these vases are under the brand name INTAVOLA of Professor Karnagel.
