The ruling was on a petition was filed by V.P. Vittachchi against Harry Jayawardene before the District Court. Harry Jayawardene is the majority shareholder of the Stassan Group. Vittachchi held office as the Chairman of Lanka Milford Exports Limited and Stassen Group.

Sources said that Jayawardena had sacked Vittachchi from his posts last Wednesday.
