Sri Lanka Telecom, has signed an agreement with
DPJ Holdings Ltd. to provide state-of-the-art Internet Protocol
Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) Solution to connect all of the
branches to a single IP based network.
DPJ Holdings Ltd., is a dynamic group of
companies, providing automation services, barcode systems, time
and attendance solutions, retail, manufacturing, software
development and is also in the midst of developing a Mini Super
Market chain under the brand name of ‘Go Getter’.
The investment in the new solution of IP-VPN
allows the branch network of DPJ Holdings Ltd., to have access
to a centralised IT network at any given time, enabling them to
communicate with the head office and each other.
SLT designed network can carry Internet Protocol
(IP) traffic – voice, video, mission critical and standard class
data, helping to facilitate DPJ Holdings Ltd., with seamless
connectivity.
DPJ Holdings Ltd. expects to expand their ‘Go
Getter’ mini super market chain to 100 mini super shops
islandwide within this year. SLT designed network solution will
be flexible as well as scaleable to suit the company’s future
expansion needs. This means that even as the number of branch
offices increase, the investment required to make these offices
in remote areas fully accessible in terms of communications is
minimal.
The agreement is projected to cut down costs of
inter-branch communication as well as increase productivity,
resulting from cost effective real time communications.
The company will be able to maintain stock
information online, inventory control, cash collection as well
as sales information among others through this real time system.

wide variety of products and services are among the benefits the
