It appears, the Indian Prime Minister Dr.
Manmohan Singh, a reputed economist, is obsessed with blue
colour now-a-days. Ever since he became the prime-minister he
sports a blue coloured turban, although that colour was never
before his favourite one.
It seems he has been advised by his private
advisors or the national network making ‘wonders’ happen in the
country, to wear a blue coloured turban and that would protect
his position as long he is seen in that colour. The media takes
pains to focus on his coloured turban. However, his dress code
is not in blue.
Even as the chief of Reserve Bank of India Dr.
Singh was not impartial to colours, but now as Prime-minister he
seems to be unkind to non-blue colours. This is unfair to a
multi-coloured nation. But his advisers seem to be on the right
track; in spite of the minority nature of the coalition
government and of the electoral reverses for his Congress party,
including in the recent UP poll, his position is pretty safe.
Not only that. He has been elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha, the
upper house of Parliament from Assam. What else can make him so
obsessed with the ‘blue magic’. He is sure of completing his
full term as the head of the government. All politicians and
bureaucrats aspiring for better positions or retaining
their present ones must take cue from ‘humble’ Dr. Singh. Please
not that one needs not to be an economist to ‘believe’ in blue
or any particular colour.
