Kalpitiya police found a 7 kilogram claymore
mine set up on a by road of the town yesterday (22).
The by road was to be used by Kalpitiya SSP
Roshan Fernando for an inspection parade.. He said he escaped
certain death as he followed instructions of the armed forces.
It was known that he would use the by road to the grounds of
the Muslim Maha Vidyalaya for the inspection parade, but he had
taken a different route and later when the by road was searched,
the claymore mine was found.
