Gun at accident
site baffles police

A 9 mm automatic pistol along with a magazine of eleven rounds was discovered near the entrance to the Wilpattu National Park around 7.00 pm on Wednesday where two motor cycles collided head-on injuring both riders.



The Fire Brigade and Sri Lanka Air Force conducted a fire drill at the Central Bank, in Colombo Fort yesterday, to educate employees on precautionary measures in the event of fire. The Central Bank was attacked on December 31, 1996 by the LTTE, the whole business sector on Queen’s Street, Notably Ceylinco House, opposite the CB was seriously affected by the explosion
