An LTTE suicide bomber riding a bicycle at Tirunaveli, Jaffna blew himself up killing three civilians and injuring 13 others yesterday (31).

The injured were admitted to the Jaffna hospital.

The suicide bomber was cycling towards the Jaffna town.

Jaffna police said the objective of the bomber was to blow up an army vehicle or a group but the bomb had exploded prematurely killing the civilians.

In a separate incident three civilians were gunned down by unidentified gunmen at Chavakachcheri Jaffna on Wednesday night police said.
