ICICI Bank, India’s second largest bank, has decided to tie up with the Association of Human Resource Professionals [HRP] as co-sponsors for Sri Lanka’s main HR Awards event, the HRM Awards 2007.

This year’s theme will be on ‘Celebrating the People Factor in Driving Business Growth’.

The HRM Awards 2007 Super10, organized by the HRP will select and rank the top 10 HRM practitioners of excellence in Sri Lanka. The event is scheduled to be held on February 22 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

Prem Thampi, Head of ICICI Bank Sri Lanka, said, "Today HR practices are of paramount importance in the day to day running of any organization. Good HRM practices are the key to the success or downfall of any organization and ICICI Bank is pleased to be associated with HRP in promotion of good HRM practices".

Speaking further Thampi said that Sri Lanka has understood the essence of having quality HR practices and have gone ahead to incorporate the same in their businesses. "We as a bank with a growing presence in Sri Lanka feel a great sense of satisfaction in being associated with such an event which is the foundation stone of any good corporate entity today".

The day long learning conference will focus on three key issues, namely "Becoming an Employer of Choice, Creating a High Performance Organisation and Rewarding Performance."
