President has warned of an UNP attempt to trigger a clash between the Executive and the Legislature. The President has alerted his parliamentary group and electoral organisers to the alleged the Opposition move. He has urged them not to be deceived by the Opposition, which, he said, had no other issue to take up.

Addressing them at Temple Trees, he vowed to go ahead with APRC recommendation to fully implement the 13th Amendment to the Constitution. He said that was the best solution to be implemented while steps were taken to eliminate terrorism.
