Student protest at Gintota

I sympathise with the students and at the same time blame the authorities for not taking any action so far. I, as an old boy of Sri Medhankara Vidyalaya, situated about one kilometer away, proposed to the authorities that they improve the facilities of Medhankara Vidyalaya so that at least the students of Gintota Maha Vidyalaya and those from the villages around Medhankara could go there and ease the problem.

The authorities also failed to acquire the land allocated to Gintota Maha Vidyalaya from the former Plywood Corporation. I am personally aware that students are scared to attend this school as the tsunami threat is not over. It is a pity that the politicians had to wait till the students came on to the streets. If the Chief Minister could commence construction within one week, why did he wait so long?
