Thilan Thushara guides SSC with ten wicket Haul

The SSC left-arm medium pace bowler Thilan Thushara (27) guided his team to an impressive 10-wicket win over Chilaw Marinas SC at R. Premadasa Stadium on Sunday (9). Thushara took a match-bag of ten wickets for 86, six for 50 in the first innings and four for 36 in the second, to hamper Chilaw, especially in the second innings where they were bowled out for a low 114 giving SSC an easy victory target of 96 on the final day.

NCC v Moors SC at NCC:

NCC recorded an easy 10-wicket win despite rains hampering the game throughout the weekend. Kumar Sangakkara heroics (scoring his second first-class highest score of 285 coming in as No.4 bat) on Saturday (8) and a fine six-wicket haul by the 24-year-old left-arm orthodox blower Chanaka Komasaru in the Moors second innings paved the way for a vital NCC win on Sunday.
