S. Thomas’ and Ladies’ win
swimming titles

S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia, started well
and finished off in style winning the overall championship at
the Novices Aquatic Swimming Championship at the Sugathadasa
Swimming Pool on Sunday.
St. Joseph’s College, Colombo, were runners up
with 145.5 points while S. Thomas’ collected 177 points to win
the title.
D. S. Senanayake, College, Colombo, won the
third place but were way back in the points tally managing only
110 points.
Meanwhile Ladies’ College, Colombo, emerged
champions in the women’s category edging out Musaeus College by
the narrowest of margins with half a point making the difference
between the winner and runner-up. While Ladies’ College
collected 148 points, Musaeus finished with 147.5 points.
Dolphin Aquatic Club secured third place with 126 points.
