to the Miss Sri Lanka 2008 competition through the concept of
online social networking. This is a phenomenon that has gained
immense popularity among people across the globe during recent
times. These involve websites that thrive on conversations
between people who share a common affinity that could range from
a commonality of interest and lifestyle to profession and
industry of work. The beauty of this concept is that, if
thoughtfully planned and knowledgably implemented, online social
networking can connect people and build relationships across
boundaries of geography or discipline."
